STAFF MEETING HIGHLIGHTS

Guidelines for Local Purveyors of Goods at the 2010-Midwest Rendezvous

The sale of items by local "Non-Rendezvous Purveyors" at a Midwest Rendezvous, in general, is not be encourage, because we would like to urge our participants to visit all the sites of the area and spend their money at the local businesses!  However, an exception to this rule will be allowed for those items that are considered "to be of service for our Rendezvous Participants", and would normally not be available at our event.  Examples of these items would include such things as: Fresh Produce, Baked Goods, and Locally Produced Fruits.
The appropriate location for the sale of such items will be in a small area across from our Front-Gate, outside of the Main Camp.  IF a local  purveyor would desire to set-up inside our Rendezvous Camp they would have to meet the following conditions: 1.) follow all NRLHF Trade Rules, 2.) be approval from the Event Trade Captain,  3) have a "period correct" booth, site, or trade blanket, 4) present his/her wares in period correct packaging (i.e. no plastic, cardboard or Styrofoam containers), 5) be appropriately attired in period dress, and 6) pay the customary Trade Fees.  The purveyor would also have pay the daily Gate-Fee or purchase an "Event Button" allowing them to enter camp an unlimited number of times.  Any food purveyors would, of course, need to abide by Michigan State Health Department regulations.
Any other issues would be brought to the attention of the Event Booshway, and/or Midwest Delegate-in-Charge for their review; their decision would be final.
Respectfully Submitted,
Father Thomas
